Tropical Heat Necklace

Tropical Heat
(Necklace, rings, earrings, bracelet and beaded hat)

2007

I designed this set for my eleventh wedding anniversary.
In order to symbolize love, passion and devotion I used a warm red color palette.
I experimented a lot on the main flower on the necklace.
I beaded its petals separately, combining them into two layers.
They are ruffled and look very nice.

When I appeared in the ballroom, wearing this piece of art, everyone stopped talking. Everyone looked at me!
It made me feel like a fairy-queen wearing this gorgeous art piece.

To create this necklace I used:

- Materials:
Seed Beads, Bugle beads, Pressed glass.

- Basic bead stitches and techniques:
Peyote Stitch, Square stitch, Embelished Herringbone rope, Netting, Stringing, Beaded Bead, 3D flower, Peyote leafs.
